Fluorescent dyes and antifade reagent for use in live cell imaging

Whereas immunostaining provides a snapshot in time of a cell or tissue, live cell imaging allows you to observe biological processes over time. Our VectaCell™ reagents enhance your live cell imaging studies that use conventional or super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, immunocytochemistry, in situ hybridization, or neurobiology applications.

VectaCell™ fluorescent dyes are conventient and easy to use for visualizing different cellular components in live cells.

  • VectaCell™ Acridine Orange — stains acidic organelles, such as lysosomes, autosomes, or yeast vacuoles, as well as nucleic acids. At low pH (inside organelles), it emits an orange fluorescence (peak at 590 nm). When bound to double-stranded DNA, it emits a green fluorescence (525 nm), and when bound to RNA it fluoresces red (650 nm).  
  • VectaCell™ Rhodamine 123 — stains active mitochondria by acumulating across the inner mitochondrial membrane, based on membrane polarization. 

VectaCell™ Trolox Antifade Reagent reduces phototoxicity and photobleaching of reagents to increase cell viability and prolong signal.
